“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
(Matthew 16:18)
The Michael Moyo International’s Church Support & Development Division is structured to assist the Body of Christ in various capacities to enhance church growth, advancement and fruitfulness. Headed by the Church Support & Development Director, the division functions through the Church Leaders Network; a network of various leaders (from the 5-fold ministry, i.e, Teachers, Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets and Apostles) from the Pentecostal/Evangelical circles across Africa, Latin America, and beyond.
The division is designed to execute the will of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in this latter dispensation, in order for the Body of Christ to fulfil her earthly mandate of spreading the gospel and to eventually inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
The division also comprises of an intercessory outfit: The Intercessory Group; a group of prayer warriors/intercessors from various churches aimed at ‘standing in the gap’ for the Church, as per Ezekiel 22:30. By standing in the gap, the division seeks to be a ‘watchman’ and a ‘prophetic voice’ to the Body of Christ.
The division is a key factor in the creation of the International Church Organization; a network or a body of churches from all over the world, that comprises of a remnant church that puts great emphasis on the LORD JESUS CHRIST; to birth a generation that is wholly dedicated to HIM - in HOLINESS and TRUTH - to do great exploits before the Rapture of the Church, and to eventually inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
The division funds its activities from the Church Support & Development Fund (Church Finance Trust), and handles all matters pertaining to the Church and kingdom-based initiatives as per the company's Corporate Social Responsibility Charter, through the following programs:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)
The word ‘church’ means ‘assembly’ or ‘congregation of the called-out ones,’ who are the ‘redeemed of the Lord,’ or the ‘born again believers’ - who form the BODY OF CHRIST (Ephesians 1:22-23).
The Old Testament prophets described the Church in glowing terms, but it was a mystery to them, and is what was to come in between the sufferings of Christ and the glory (1st Peter 1:9-12). That is, in between the cross and the crown.
Jesus, during His ministry, intimated to the disciples that there was to be something He called “The Church,” but did not tell them when it would be, or even what it would look like.
The Church had its origin in the mind of God before the foundation of the world, yet it did not manifest until after Christ’s death.
In the third year of Christ’s ministry, when Israel had practically rejected Him, He was entering the shadow of the cross, knowing that the offer of the kingdom to Israel would soon be withdrawn, and the Church be set up. Wishing to prepare His disciples, He asked them: "Who do you say that I am?” And Simon Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus responded: “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
The name ‘Peter’ means ‘rock,’ and the ‘rock’ means Christ Himself. Thus, Jesus meant that on Himself as the Rock He would build His Church.
However, there could be no foundation for the Church until Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension. Then Christ became the Rock; the Chief Cornerstone, and upon Him the foundation of the Church; the apostles and the prophets, was laid (Ephesians 2:20-22). Then at Pentecost (Acts 2), the Church was birthed through the Holy Spirit. From there to date, the Church has been growing into a holy temple in the Lord; a habitation of God through the Spirit. Thus, those who believe in God through Christ Jesus make up His temple, His building – HIS CHURCH.
Ephesians 1:22-23 says: “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” The Church is a BODY of which Christ is the HEAD. 1st Corinthians 12:12-14 says how that body is formed:
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and all have been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact, the body is not one member but many.”
In 1 Corinthians 3:9-17, the Apostle Paul speaks of the church as a building or temple; a holy habitation of God through the Spirit, of which Christ is the Chief Cornerstone. As God’s presence, the Shekinah glory, was manifested in the tabernacle, so now in this dispensation, when Israel as a nation is out of fellowship with God, with no temple in Jerusalem, the Church, since Pentecost, is the visible habitation of God on earth, where He manifests His glory through the Holy Spirit.
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."
(1 Corinthians 3:16)
At present, the Church is a virgin espoused. Paul said to the church at Corinth, in 2 Corinthians 11:2, that, “I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”
The First Adam had his bride - Eve. The Second Adam (Christ) must also have His bride: The Church. In Genesis 2:21-24, God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. As he slept, He took one of his ribs, made it into a woman, and brought her to the man. And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman."
So it is with Jesus. During His life on earth as a Man, abode alone, a deep sleep – the sleep of death – fell on Him. And out of His wounded side, as a result of the atonement on the cross, came that from which God formed His bride – the Church; to which the breath of life, the Holy Spirit, was breathed upon on the day of Pentecost. So that, just as Adam said of Eve: “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh,” so the Church can say of Christ: “We are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.” - Ephesians 5:29-33.
The Lord Jesus gave the gospel to mankind, and the mission of the Church is to carry that gospel to the world as Mark 16:15 says, “Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. But he who does not believe will be condemned.”
This gospel is not a system of ethics or a code of morals, but a proclamation of salvation through Christ Jesus. Paul said in Romans 1:16 that, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe, to the Jew first, but also to the Gentiles.” The purpose of the gospel in this dispensation is not to rescue the society, but to save individual members that are to compose the Body of Christ – the Church. This dispensation of grace is therefore not for the conversion of the world, but for the gathering out of the Saints. The world is growing darker, but the Church – being the light of the world - must shine brighter (Matthew 5:14-16).
The Church is to be “caught out” or “raptured” into heaven, to permanently be with the Lord Jesus. The event will be twofold: of the dead in Christ, and of the living saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:1-58). At the Rapture of the Church, Jesus will come for the saints, and at His Second Coming, He will come with the saints (Zechariah 14:5, Colossians 3:4, 1 Thessalonians 3:13; 4:14). In between the two - an interval of at least seven years - will be the reign of the Antichrist on earth and the tribulation period.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
(1Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Kenya has very many church groupings – with over 4000 registered; a reflection of the freedom of worship enshrined in the country’s constitution. The country’s population is believed to be 80% “Christian.” The old denominations, referred to as the MAINSTREAM CHURCHES, include the Roman Catholic, the Anglican Church, the Full Gospel Churches, the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, the African Inland Church, the Methodist Church, the Adventists, and the Baptist Church. These mainstream churches form the VISIBLE CHURCH.
However, in recent times, Kenya has witnessed a PENTECOSTAL AND/OR EVANGELICAL MOVEMENT that has seen the mushrooming of the PENTECOSTAL CHURCH; characterized by divine power and manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Within this church is the vast majority of the BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS, who constitute the Body of Christ, thereby forming the INVISIBLE CHURCH or the CHURCH OF THE NEWBORN. The Pentecostal Movement churches in Kenya include Redeemed Gospel Church, Deliverance Church, Christco Church, Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM), Winners Chapel, Nairobi Lighthouse Church, Jesus Celebration Centre (JCC), The Joshua Generation, and many others.
It is this Pentecostal/Evangelical Movement, in which the New Born Church is, that the Michael Moyo International is supporting in a well-structured manner as the Holy Spirit leads. The Pentecostal Church in Kenya (and the world over) is facing a myriad of challenges, and we believe our input will bolster the fruitfulness of the Church, not only in Kenya but beyond - especially in these latter times.
“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.”
(Isaiah 2:2)
CHALLENGES FACING THE PENTECOSTAL/EVANGELICAL CHURCH IN DEVELOPING NATIONS
(FOCUS ON AFRICA)
“In the world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
Despite the challenges the Church is facing, we believe the best is yet to come, because “the glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the glory of the former,” says the LORD (Haggai 2:9).
"Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."
(Psalm 37:5)
To establish the Ecclesia Bank Limited in collaboration with other stakeholders - which will be a full-fledged institutional banking establishment under the regulations of the Central Bank of Kenya and the United States Federal Reserve System, and will be tailored on kingdom principles to provide complex financing and advisory functions to church organizations, and also a donor platform to charity entities in developing nations.
This will be a 'reserve bank' for the kingdom of God - through which God's work will be financed in this end-time revival - in preparation for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
'Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.'
(Exodus 20:18-20)
The LORD JESUS is the image of the invisible God. He is the embodiment of the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is the LORD God who became flesh and dwelt among us...
He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth; HE is the Word of God that spoke during creation in Genesis; HE is the One who walked in the Garden of Eden in the cool of the day; HE is the One who called Abraham from Ur of the Chaldeans; HE is the One who appeared to Moses in the burning bush; HE is the One who struck Egypt with a mighty hand, and delivered the children of Israel; HE is the One who descended on Mount Sinai with great power and glory, and gave Moses the Ten Commandments; HE is the One who appointed all the kings of Israel; HE is the One who sent Elijah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and all the prophets, and selected all the judges of Israel; He is the One who visited Abraham with two angels and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah...
Yet, in all HIS sovereignty, HE became flesh and dwelt among us; HE walked by the Sea of Galilee, yet no one could tell it’s HIM. With great authority, HE spoke and no one could withstand HIS wisdom; the Scribes and Pharisees could not resist HIS power. Diseases fled from HIS presence; demons trembled at HIS sight; the storms calmed before HIM; the multitudes were astonished at HIS great works, and asked, “Who could this be?” The LORD is HIS name!
In great humility HE surrendered into the hands of men for our own sake; that salvation may come to man. HE is the LION, who became the LAMB, and submitted even unto death, yet, even death could not hold HIM; the grave could not restrain HIM; hell could not contain HIM, because HE is the Creator.
HE is the KING OF KINGS and the LORD OF LORDS; HE is the ALPHA AND THE OMEGA; the BEGINNING AND THE END; the Great I AM – the One who sits on the throne.
THE LORD JESUS IS HIS NAME!
It is imperative to seek the LORD while He may still be found and to draw near to Him while He is still near. You have eternity before you, for it is appointed for men to die once; afterward, the judgment - either eternal glory with the LORD in heaven or eternal condemnation in hell. Now is the time for salvation, for there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. But those who do not believe are condemned already!
If you are not yet born again, with your whole heart, pray the salvation prayer below, and the Lord Jesus will renew you today, fill you with His Holy Spirit and ease your burden.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9)
"Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."
(Revelation 3:11)
Jesus Christ unveils His warnings, reprimands, and promises believers who overcome—in those first-century churches as well as today (Revelation Chapters 1-3).
"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near."
(Revelation 1:3)
"Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days."
(Ecclesiastes 11:1)
“Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth.”
(Psalm 41:1-2)
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."
(Revelation 3:8)
